Nutella Pull Apart Bread

This is the first time I am making Nutella Pull Apart Bread and was really pleased with this idea. Either with a savory or sweet filling, pull apart breads are a great idea for serving to a family or friend gathering.

The recipe is very easy and quick to prepare. For the dough I’ve used the recipe from the cinnamon braided bread and worked really great. Instead of braiding, this time the dough is stacked in layers and this way makes possible the pull-apart effect. The bread is totally irresistible with its soft interior which becomes even more tempting when filled with Nutella.

Serve this Nutella Pull Apart bread while still warm, right after taking it out of the oven, alongside some cold milk. It will definitely be a memorable treat for everybody.

How to make Nutella Pull Apart Bread

Begin by preparing the dough. To activate the yeast, in a medium bowl, combine the fresh yeast with sugar until it liquefies. Stir in lukewarm milk, then add the beaten egg and melted butter.

In a separate large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Pour the milk mixture over the dry ingredients and knead until a smooth dough forms, pulling away from the edges of the bowl. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a clean bowl coated with oil. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for about 1 hour in a warm space until doubled in size.

How to assemble the bread

On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle measuring approximately 20×12 inches (50x30cm). Evenly spread Nutella over the dough, then cut it into 6 long strips.

Stack 3 strips on top of each other to create 2 stacks of 3 strips. Cut each stack into 4 smaller stacks. Arrange the stacks in a greased parchment paper-lined 9x5in (23x13cm) loaf pan. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350F (180C). Brush the bread with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Slice and enjoy this delicious Nutella-filled bread!

Hope you will try this Nutella Pull Apart Bread. If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how it turns out for you.
