10 Unique Summer Ice Creams

This summer I came across few interesting recipes of ice cream that really kept my attention and I wanted to share them with you. I want to try each of these as soon as I get the chance. You will probably agree with me they are quite unique and tempting.

1. Black Sesame Ice Cream

Nami from JustOneCookbook recently posted this recipe of Black Sesame Ice Cream which looks incredible good. She did surprised me with this ice cream flavor, as it is not quite a common ingredient for a dessert. I am not even sure that I can find the Asian black sesame paste where I live but I am very eager to search for it. Click here to see the recipe>>

2. Purple Sweet Potato Ice cream

Ridha from Ridha’s Kitchen posted this recipe of Purple Sweet Potato Ice cream. I consider this recipe unique as the purple sweet potatoes are quite new for me therefore makes me very curious of this ice cream taste. Click here to see the recipe>>

3. Beet Ice Cream with Orange Zest and Poppy Seeds

Meghan from CosmoCookie posted this unusual recipe of ice cream. I would have never thought to use beets in an ice cream or combining them with poppy seeds. But I did tried to create one unique recipe using poppy seeds and this is Poppy Seed Macarons. This ice cream definitely made me curious of its taste as the color is amazing. Click here to see the recipe>>

4. Basil Mint Ice Cream

These 2 ingredients are quite usual for me, I use them a lot, especially during the summer. Even though I probably wouldn’t have thought to use them in an summer ice cream recipe. I use mint for dessert, tea, soup, some side dishes or cocktails like this Summer Tea Cocktail I did recently. I use basil mostly on side or main dishes like this Penne with Mushroom Bolognese, not so much into a dessert. 5. Green Tea Ice Cream– MATCHA Ice Cream

I love the intense green color of this ice cream. Manuela form Manu’s Menu has presented very beautiful this matcha ice cream that made me very curious to try it out. I am very sure me and my friends would love it. Click here to see the recipe>>

6. Pomegranate Ice Cream

I love pomegranates and I use to make Pomegranate Shake for my family pretty often.  When I discovered this recipe  on Mypersiankitchen and the fact that you can make it without an ice cream maker made it a winner for me. Easy recipe, love the color and I am sure the taste is as great. Click here to see the recipe>>

I really love the combination of this sorbet from the moment I’ve heard of it:  Red Wine Hibiscus Sangria Sorbet .Jeni from Thyme & Love made a great presentation of this beautiful frozen dessert. Made me very curious and definitely have to try it. Click here to see the recipe>>

8. Crème Brûlée Ice Cream

Crème Brûlee is an amazing dessert, with a rich  custard and crisp layer of burnt caramelized sugar. Also known as Crema Catalana or Burnt Cream, this classic dessert makes a perfect candidate for transforming it into an ice cream! Anders from Ice Cream Nation made it very tempting and seems very easy to make. I think you will agree with me that it looks delicious. Click here to see the recipe>>

9. No-Churn Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Doesn’t it sound great? Blueberries.. cheesecake.. ice cream.. all in one heavenly dessert. Cheri from KitchenSimplicity had this great idea of combining all these to create this wonderful summer  ice cream dessert. Click here to see the recipe>>

10. Lavender honey ice cream

I love the use of lavender and honey to create one of the most delicate ice creams. I found this recipe on Bunkycooks and made me very curious as I have not used lavender too much in cooking. Click here to see the recipe>>
