I can’t believe we just turned 1. This Sunday is my first blog anniversary, it seems that it  passed so fast. Even if I don’t really enjoy making anniversary cakes because they involve too much work, this anniversary was a good enough reason to start making one as it’s celebration time .. isn’t it?
The fact that I started this blog made me explore other cultures cuisines and to be always searching for new ingredients and new ways of using them in various recipes. I definitely enjoyed this year as I really like cooking and I find it quite relaxing.
I discovered that I feel challenged by trying to make food from scratch, like learning to make bread with no yeast, making my own pastry dough instead of buying or learning to make macarons when everybody is so afraid to try the recipe.
I tried to always evolve, tried sharing with you better recipes, improve my photography and the way I share them with you.
I wish to thank every one of you for visiting my blog and for trying my recipes, for your comments and sharing with me your opinions. Stay tuned as more is going to come!! If any suggestions feel free to share them here.
As a resume of my first year of blogging my 132 recipes shared with you brought more than half a million unique visitors, almost 300 subscribers and 3670 fans on Facebook.
I am really happy for all these achievements and… I must admit while writing this… I can hardly wait to dig in into this cake … after all.. it is my first blog anniversary.. I definitely deserve a piece. 🙂
