Nutella Ice Cream

If you’re a fan of Nutella, you absolutely must give this incredible Nutella Ice Cream recipe a try. It is a perfect chocolaty treat for summer. The taste is beyond words. While I anticipated that the ice cream would be good, I was pleasantly surprised by just how amazingly delicious it turned out. As a chocolate lover myself, I can confidently say that this ice cream has become my new favorite. And it’s not just me—my daughters adore it too, constantly requesting more and ensuring that I’ll be making another batch as soon as it’s gone!

What’s truly wonderful about this Nutella ice cream is that you don’t need an ice cream maker or any churning involved. It’s incredibly easy and quick to prepare. The heavy cream works its magic, ensuring the ice cream turns out beautifully creamy without the need for churning. And the addition of chocolate chunks blends seamlessly with the creamy base, offering a delightful texture that’s sure to please everyone.

How to make Nutella Ice Cream

Begin by placing the eggs and sugar in a heatproof bowl. Set this bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture for 6–8 minutes until it becomes thick and pale.

Once the mixture has thickened, add the vanilla extract and allow it to cool slightly. If you want to speed up the cooling process, you can transfer the mixture to another bowl.

Next, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. It’s important to ensure that the heavy cream is cold and has been refrigerated for at least 24 hours before whipping, as this will help it whip properly. Once the cream is whipped, add Nutella and cocoa powder, and mix until they are fully incorporated.

Gently fold the whipped cream mixture into the egg mixture until well combined.

Transfer the mixture into a covered storage container and place it in the freezer. Allow it to freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Hope you will try this delightful Nutella Ice Cream and if you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram.

Hi! I loved the recipe and i tried it today. However after whipping the cream and adding the nutella, the consistency of the mixture become too watery and it was so lumpy. Any idea why?

    1. Ella-HomeCookingAdventure Author says:

Hmm.. not sure why.. did you whip the cream enough  until stiff?

is it okay if i use whipped cream instead of heavy cream? coz its very hard to find in my country

    1. Ella-HomeCookingAdventure Author says:

Sure, whipping cream will be as good, makes sure it has at least 30% fat. I've used like 35-36% fat.

Can other reasons it was not Nutella ?

  15. asma Author says:

Tried this…it turned out soooo good! thank u! Though the consistency was very heavy and creamy and not very ice-cream like. I believe it was because I didn’t whip my cream till stiff.
