Bloomin Onion Bread

Ever since I saw this Bloomin’ Onion Bread on Pinterest I just knew I had to give it a try. The melted, gooey cheese is simply irresistible.

Fortunately, the recipe is a breeze to make, requiring just a few minutes of prep time. A sharp knife is essential for cutting the bread, though, as it can be a bit tricky otherwise. Beyond that, the process is straightforward and speedy. While I opted for thinly sliced cheese, grated cheese works just as well. Use whichever method you find easiest.

This cheesy bloomin’ onion bread is perfect for serving at gatherings as it’s sure to impress everyone with both its appearance and taste.

Feel free to experiment with different ingredients. You could try various cheese combinations, add garlic, incorporate prosciutto or pepperoni, or sprinkle in different herbs. No matter how you customize it, the result is bound to be delicious. I’m confident you’ll agree once you give it a try.

How to make Bloomin’ Onion Bread

Begin with preheating the oven to 350 F (180C).

Next, carefully cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise, ensuring not to slice all the way through the bottom crust. Place the prepared bread on a baking sheet lined with foil.

Combine chopped onions with butter and seeds if desired. Between the cuts in the bread, arrange slices of cheese. Pour the butter-onion mixture into the crevices of the bread.

Cover the bread with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.

Hope you will try this out and enjoy your delicious cheesy bread! Don’t forget to tag me in your Instagram posts or stories, so I can see your amazing results.

Ella: This bread looks AMAZEBALLS! I came across your video on Facebook after one of my foodie friends shared it with me! My mouth is already watering thinking of all the variations of this bread that are possible! Even though we’re not onion fans at my house (we’d leave them off or replace them with something else) your video had me almost reconsidering! Reading your bio you mentioned that English is not your first language: What is? 🙂 Thanks for a great recipe!

I did 3 of your recipes today for my guests- Thanks!! 🙂
This one was a hit! I barely spent any effort/time on it and everyone loved it.
I did individual portions (with buns) instead of 1 loaf of bread though, i wanted to recommend – only use fresh bread! one of my buns was on the dry side, it fell apart completely while i was cutting it.
Thanks so much for this recipe, i completely fooled everyone into thinking i know what im doing 🙂

    1. Ella-HomeCookingAdventure Author says:

hehe:) so glad these turned great for you.. except the old bread one:) Yes.. fresh bread is necessary..
