The fusion of cream cheese with strawberries and puff pastry creates a harmonious blend that’s sure to please everyone. You can easily customize it with various berries depending on the season or your preference. Hardly can anyone resist this amazing pastry.

How to make strawberry puff pastry braid

Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sugar and vanilla, then mix until well combined.

Transfer the puff pastry dough onto the prepared baking sheet, working quickly to keep the dough chilled.

Draw a rectangle in the center of the dough, leaving about a 5-inch (12cm) border on each side, and a 1-inch (2.5cm) border at the top and bottom of the rectangle. Make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart on both sides of the rectangle, and discard the four corners of the dough.

Spread the cream cheese mixture down into the center of the rectangle, then arrange the strawberry slices on top.

Fold the top and bottom parts of the dough over the filling, then fold the diagonal strips of dough over the filling, alternating sides until the entire loaf is braided. Press the ends to seal.

Brush the braid with beaten egg and sprinkle sugar on top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the braid is puffed and golden brown.

Once baked, cool the braid completely on a wire rack before serving.

    Hi,
This sounds really good and looks easy. Could you substitute cherries or blueberries for the strawberries? If so would you prepare them differently? Looking to do this for work and would like some options.
    Thanks
