This Summer Ice Tea Cocktail is very easy to make and the result is amazing. It can be served without gin if you just want a cooling drink or serve it with gin to turn it into an exciting summertime tea cocktail.
First, you make the tea and refrigerate to chill overnight. Before serving add gin, and ice cubes in the serving glasses, pour the tea and garnish with mint, lemon or lime slices and serve.
Cold peppermint tea with gin turns out to be an amazing Summer Tea Cocktail that is very refreshing and perfect for hot summer evenings.
How to make Summer Ice Tea Cocktail
To make a refreshing iced tea, start by bringing a large saucepan of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add tea bags. Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to fully infuse. After 5 minutes, remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until it is completely dissolved.
Transfer the sweetened tea to the refrigerator to chill. For best results, let it chill overnight to ensure it is thoroughly cooled.
When you are ready to serve the iced tea, you can add a splash of gin for an extra twist if desired. Fill serving glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves, and slices of lemon and lime for a burst of citrus flavor and a visually appealing touch. Serve immediately and enjoy the cool, refreshing taste of homemade iced tea.

The drink looks great. Perfect for a summer’s day.
Lemon is always refreshing and mint can always boast of its soothing effects. That is a powerful combination. A must try!
Any cool, refreshing summer drink plus gin is a win for me! I’ve got a cucumber gin mojito going up on my blog later today. Thanks for the recipe!
Your photos of drinks are beautiful! I had my first photo shoot of cold drinks other day and it was so difficult! This one looks really refreshing and you captured it so well. Now I’m thirsty and ready for this drink!
Thank you. You are right.. drink photos are quite difficult. I said the same thing to my husband that I work more for drink photos than for the others.
What a great new cocktail!! Love the idea of using peppermint tea and both lime and lemon! I just selected tomorrow’s afternoon cocktail. What a great way to start the weekend!
