This Sweetened Condensed Milk Chocolate Fudge is the easiest recipe you can get for homemade chocolate fudge. It takes only 5 to 10 minutes, with no cooking involved just some chocolate melting and the result is smooth, creamy, and oh so chocolatey. This recipe uses sweetened condensed milk and is a bit faster than the other recipe of chocolate fudge I’ve made. I would suggest making both recipes and seeing which one you prefer best.
Feel free to make whatever combinations you like, you can use coffee, nuts, fruits, lavender, orange or lemon zest, and the list can go on.
You can cut it into smaller or larger squares, can even freeze some, and keep it for later.
How to make Sweetened Condensed Milk Chocolate Fudge
Begin with lining an 8×8 inch baking pan with foil. Break or chop the chocolate into small chunks.
Place the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Once melted, add vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt, stirring well to combine. If desired, add orange or lemon zest and any fruits.
Remove from heat and transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Press the toasted nuts over the top.
Let the mixture chill in the fridge for about 1 hour until set. Once set, cut into squares and serve.

mmmmm this fudge looks so intensely chocolatey and perfect!!!
Oh me too! I can’t say no to delicious fudge… I like that yours have nuts on it – those are the best! 😀
Extremely tempting! A great treat and gift idea.
Cheers,

I just made my first batch of this type of fudge with sweetened condensed milk this winter. The family loved it! Yours looks divine!!
Wow. This is very delicious. I wanna make this recipe. Thanks very much.
Hi, i can only find sweetened cocoa powder, will that be too sweet?
Yes, it will be too sweet as the sweetened condensed milk is already very sweet. If you don't find unsweetened cocoa powder you'd better live it out. It will work without cocoa powder too. I just love the taste a good quality cocoa powder brings to a chocolate dessert, but in this recipe it can be optional.
Hi, thanks for the quick respond! I made the batch be accidently put 1 TABLESPOON on vanilla instead of 1 TEASPOON. Will it be a problem in terms of it hardening? And if so, what do i do?
No.. it won't be a problem, it will just taste more of vanilla, which is not bad at all 🙂
Hi. So my friends and family had some of the fudge i made. Most of them said they loved it, but some, as well as i, thought it was a bit too sweet (so next time i’ll try to put less cocoa powder or just completely leave it out).
The only problem is that the texture was very sticky. How do i avoid that in the next batch?
Another question: what will happen if i put less then 300 grams of chocolate on the same amount of condensed milk? Will it make the recipe sweeter as the bitter chocolates contradicts the condensed milk’s sweetness?
Thanks!
Yes, if you used sweetened cocoa powder it turned too sweet. Unsweetened cocoa powder takes a bit from the condensed milk sweetness. Keep the fudge in the fridge until ready to serve, it won't be as sticky probably. I don't remember being very sticky, it is important to used good quality chocolate. I wouldn't reduce the chocolate amount, it is the chocolate who takes from the sweetness of condensed milk and who also helps the fudge get harder. If you use less it will be really sticky and sweet. If you like fudge you might like this easy recipe as well, my favorite actually where you can play with sugar quantity and make it more or less sweet. https://www.homecookingadventure.com/chocolate-fudge
I did it as well for my birthday. It was sticky at first because it was so hot. I mean the weather in Algeria was hot. So I kept it in the fridge untill served. It looked just like the foto. Not too sweet. It just melt in the mouth. It was a succes with the young and the old. Every generation loved it. Thank you so much for recipies so easy to make but so so so delicious. Does the fudge melt when it is taken out from the refrigerator?
Hi. I made this recipe and the consistency of the fudge was very sticky and soft. Because of this I couldnt leave them in room temperature afterwards. What can i do to make them stay hard outside? I want to give them as gifts but I am afraid they will melt a little. Thanks
