How to make brown butter blondies

To start, preheat your oven to 350F (180C). Grease an 8×8 inch (20x20cm) pan with butter and line it with parchment paper. Place the butter into a small saucepan and cook it over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it turns a nutty brown color. This process may take a few minutes. Sieve the browned butter into a large bowl and allow it to cool to room temperature.

In a separate medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set this mixture aside for now. Add brown sugar to the melted brown butter and mix them together until well combined. Then, incorporate the egg and add vanilla extract, stirring until everything is thoroughly mixed. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring to combine all the ingredients. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Place the pan in the preheated oven.  Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting the cake into squares.
