What’s more, this recipe is incredibly easy to follow and requires no chilling time, making it perfect for those times when you need a quick and delicious treat. This recipe is perfect for those who are intolerant to eggs or who are looking for eggless options. With no eggs included in the ingredients, you can enjoy these cookies without any worries or concerns. One of the things I love about this recipe is its versatility. While the chocolate chips add a decadent touch to the cookies, you can easily switch things up by using raisins, cranberries, or nuts instead. This allows you to experiment with different flavors and create a variety of cookies to suit your taste.
Another great thing about these Eggless Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies is that they pair perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea. There’s something so comforting about dipping a cookie into your favorite beverage and savoring the rich flavors.
How to make eggless chocolate oatmeal cookies
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (180°C) to ensure that your cookies bake evenly. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the butter with both sugars until the mixture is creamy. This step is important to ensure that your cookies turn out soft and chewy. Then, add the salt, milk, and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
Next, gently incorporate the flour, rolled oats, and baking powder to create a dough that has the perfect consistency. Folding in chocolate chips at this point is the perfect final touch, adding a burst of sweetness and texture to your cookies.
How to bake the cookies
Using an ice cream scoop, take equal portions of the cookie dough and place them on the prepared baking sheets. Leave about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space between each cookie. Gently flatten each cookie with the back of the scoop to ensure that they bake evenly.
Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 8-9 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are slightly golden. This step is crucial because you don’t want your cookies to over-bake, as this can cause them to become dry and crunchy.
Let them cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes, or until they’re firm enough to remove. This will allow them to set properly and become more stable. Once they’re cool enough, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Savor each bite, and appreciate the delicious combination of butter, oats, and chocolate. Baking cookies is a fun and rewarding experience that will fill your home with a delightful aroma and put a smile on the faces of everyone who tastes them.
