This Puff Pizza Ring is an easy appetizer idea you can prepare just in a few minutes and have it ready by the time guests arrive. It looks quite impressive and appetizing and takes no more than 10 minutes to have it ready to go in the oven.

You can make a lot of variations to the filling used, simply add your favorite ingredients either sweet or savory and roll it up to create this beautiful ring of puff pastry.

For this recipe I’ve used homemade tomato pizza sauce as I really like how it turns out but feel free to use any other sauce you have around if you are in a hurry.

This puff pizza ring should be served a bit warm alongside your favorite dipping sauce.

How to make Puff Pizza Ring

Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Next, unfold the puff pastry and use a rolling pin to gently roll it out to make it slightly wider.

Using a knife, pizza cutter, or pastry cutter, cut thin strips into the pastry, leaving about 1/3 of the length of the pastry uncut.

Spread tomato pizza sauce evenly over the remaining uncut portion of the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges. You can use your own homemade tomato pizza sauce or store-bought.

Top the sauce with shredded Mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and grated Parmesan cheese, layering them evenly over the sauce.

Carefully separate the dough strips slightly and begin folding them over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided appearance.

Once all the strips are folded over, carefully transfer the filled pastry log to the prepared baking sheet. Shape it into a circle and press the edges to seal.

Brush the top of the ring with beaten egg for a golden finish. If desired, sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake the pizza ring in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until it is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

Allow the pizza ring to cool slightly before serving. This delicious and visually appealing dish is sure to be a hit with family and friends!  If you try it out, don’t forget to share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how it turns out for you. Enjoy!
