Avocado and Pea Salad

Lately, we’ve been enjoying our avocado and pea salad recipe, which highlights the benefits of our vegetable garden. It’s not only delicious but also incredibly healthy, and quick to prepare.

I love using fresh green peas straight from our garden, picked in the morning for their sweetness and tenderness. However, if fresh peas aren’t available, frozen peas work just as well.

I’ve recently discovered how well avocado pairs with peas, and this salad has become a favorite for breakfast or brunch, especially since my daughters adore it too. It’s a delightful addition to our mealtime repertoire.

How to make avocado and pea salad

Begin by placing the avocado in a bowl. Mash it with a fork until it’s nearly smooth. Mix in onion, garlic, peas, and lemon juice if you’re using it. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Cover the mixture with plastic wrap right on top to keep it from turning brown if you’re not going to serve it right away. Put it in the fridge until you’re ready to eat it. You can enjoy it with toast, pita chips, or crackers or alongside your choice of meat.
